With the guidance of Chef Gianni Scappin, the group  learn how to make, roll and cut several types of pasta—by hand and with a pasta machine—along with a few basic sauces. It was a hands-on class and everyone left with full belly and some of their own freshly made pasta ready to cook at home.

The pasta tasting was paired with wines from Hudson Wine Merchants.

Chef and owner of Cucina in Woodstock, Market Street in Rhinebeck and soon to be open Gusto in Poughkeepsie (beside Vassar College). Assistant professor in culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America. Author of several cookbooks; the most recent one simply titled pasta. Graduated from Recoaro Terme Culinary Institute, Italy.
